Nurse’s Orders this morning were for Graham to take a shower. (Insert Beef & Cheese Reference here.) The shower was refreshing but I discovered quickly that there is something worse than hospital sleep and hospital food…HOSPITAL TOWELS. They are like a mix between wrapping paper, sand paper, and tarmac.
MGH has been so good to us so far. But it’s time for some new towels, guys.

Hahaha.. Beef and cheese! P.S. if you see gum left in the hospital waiting room.. it’s not free candy! Thinking of you guys! I’m willing those babies out all the way from Barry Ave (full circle).. I can’t wait.. and don’t worry.. hospital towels are great for celebratory helicopter fan fare after delivery. just like at Lambeau. But you might be more of a giant number two foam finger(s) guy though! Anyways! Give Kirsten my love and tell those soon to be amazing new editions that I can’t wait to meet them.

Ask Monica to bring your nice fluffy towels from home. K will want to shower post-birth and those hospital towels are not going to cut it. momma deserves a plush towel after all her hard work. (dada not so much. just kidding. not really.)
(if I knew how to insert a emoticon here, I would, but I am not so savvy).

Hey Kirsten & Graham,
Frank and I just wanted to send our best. Both of us are so impressed that Kirsten made it to term. Let us know if you need any more twin-tips post-birth, we will do our best to tell you all of our secrets for surviving the first few months (it’s hard – but you will be fine – and it does get easier). It really is so wonderful having twins.
We are so excited for you!!

HAHAH! I just saw this towel entry. I never thought of it that way. I guess hospital towels are like bowling socks… they have them behind the counter in case you didn’t bring your own, and once you show up at the bowling alley for the first time in flops… you’ll vow to yourself never to do that again.
