A quick note to thank Joanne, the Wonder Nurse who got us thru a long night with humor and encouragement.
Joanne has been so helpful in steering us for what we can expect and making Kirsten comfortable. She is finishing up her 7p-7a shift and we feel like we’re losing a member of Team Nelson.
All of our friends who delivered at MGH went out of their way to say how amazing the nurses are. And they have been that and more for us. And we haven’t even delivered yet.
We will miss you Joanne.
(Okay, so that wasn’t an Ode. Creative juices not flowing yet this morning.)

congrats on progress! The pit will help and the internal (scalp) moniter will be much more accurate and comfortable for K. The external (belly strap) moniter is useful but a hassle to keep in place.
I guess a girl and boy – but the time -to estimate that I need more data on how much K is dilated and effaced….. that nursey stuff. But just knowingh where you are at now, unless the babies heart rates change, I would say 3-7 pm. Either way, I know that you ( all 4) will do an outstanding job at your first truly shared enterprise! Much love from Chicago! BTY – no one sleeps in hospitals anymore, there is just so much to do. So glad you love the nurses – great carers!

I miss you so much and am constantly refreshing and waiting for Ash to text me! We are anxiously awaiting for the youngest, cutest Nelsons to come!
