After a long week of rain and diapers, we received a knock at the door and a visit from our friendly UPS guy. Our spirits were lifted by an amazingly generous package from the Greenberg family! A wonderful package of goodies: outfits, books, teddy bears, and THEIR OWN PERSONALIZED BAGS!
For those who don’t know, these bags come with a very interesting backstory. I will let our friend Gary Greenberg describe the relevance of the “Gary Bag” but Camden and Marin are honored to be invited to into the Gary Bag Fraternity. (GG, respond via “comments” below if you have the time.)
M&C vow to honor those Gary Bag Club members before them and they are looking forward to their first meeting (tentatively scheduled for an Amperslammed in early July!).

What began as a thoughtful Xmas gift from my wife, turned office joke and ultimately became an exclusive Fraternity of “L.L. Bean bag lovers” who have a deep seeded fear of forgetting their respective names. Hence the large red embroidery on the side of the bag.
My wife somehow thought maybe it would help me in my later years.
Gary the first name to be embroidered on the bag, has been given out to several members inducted into the club whose names aren’t even Gary, but Ryan and Catherine. They carry their Gary bags with pride. And if asked “Why Gary on the side of their bag, they proudly answer, “Why not?”
We break with tradition here as all institutions must do to keep up with the times, by putting the correct names of the twins on their respective bags. They bring with them the dawn of a new day and bright successful future to The Gary Bag Fraternity. “Welcome Camden and Marin.”

Gary, I don’t want to be rude but I thought I put my bid in for one of these guys before I got married. Which was incidentally over 6 months ago. I know that LLBean has a better turn around time than that so I’ll just chalk it up to a busy time for A & G and I am very happy that these munchkins made it into the club. Maybe I’ll just participate in the club with their monthly guest memberships. I heard you guys throw great BBQs and pub crawls.
